St James' Church

Methodist/URC, Woolton, Liverpool, UK

In our heart is a commitment to follow the way of Jesus Christ and to share the love of God with all.

Event and Fundraising Activities

The BENEVOLENT FUND is used to enable St James' to support named charities suggested by members of the congregation. If you would like to suggest a charity which we might support then will you please let a Steward Elder have details of the name and purpose of the charity, and details as to where our contribution should be sent. The rota for charities to be supported from the Fund is agreed periodically and details of each charity being supported are recorded in the weekly notice sheet.

CHRISTMAS FAYRE GIFT DAY As an update on our gift day in place of our Christmas fair, can we thank you all so much. Giving was a huge help with our finances The gifts of time and money that you give to God through St James’ is really appreciated as without everyone’s’ dedication, support and sacrificial giving, none. of the good work that St James’ does in the name of Christ would be possible.

HARVEST COLLECTION Well done to all in the St James’ family, rising to the Harvest Collection challenge! We managed to fill 14 large bags during these difficult times. We took them to South Liverpool Food Bank (Bridge Chapel).

In July Jane Laverty walked the 30 miles from Woolton to Southport to raise money for UNICEF. UNICEF helps children in crisis. Now more than ever children need water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH). Congratulations to Jane for such an amazing effort and also on the fantastic amount raised!
