The Boys Brigade website says the following,
'We are one of the biggest Christian Youth Organisations in the UK & Republic of Ireland.
We are committed to seeing lives enriched by supporting children and young people to reach their full potential by providing opportunities to meet together and engage in a range of fun and developmental activities and experiences.
There’s something for every young person whether it’s camping or kayaking, first aid or five a side. Members develop skills, build confidence, make friends, take responsibility and are encouraged to make a real difference in their communities – sharing the values that make us who we are.'

26th LIVERPOOL BOYS` BRIGADE
Mums, Dads, Carers
We hope you all had a great time over your summer holidays, and we hope that you have all settled back in to your new years at school and some of you at new schools.
We will have a varied programme between now and December with some events linked to the Liverpool Battalion Activities such as the Christmas Card design for Anchors and Table-Top games in November for Juniors.
We hope to visit the Williamson Tunnels on the 12th of October with the GB and have a climbing wall activity in late November too.
We will have our first Church Parade with our new Minister the Reverend Peter Hughes on 8th October - which will be our Harvest Festival, but we look forward to meeting him next Thursday when he is going to visit both Brigades to see what we get up to.
We will be having more regular band practices within the hour of BB/GB Thursdays, so anyone wanting to put their name down for an instrument please let an officer know. The combined band would like to put on a great showing from the uniformed youth organisations, and in particular for the Remembrance Sunday Parade which will be on the 12th of November.
Subs are due at the beginning of each session and are still £15.00 per Boy and £10.00 for other brothers who are members.

WOOLTON BB ANNIVERSARY TREE UPDATE
Firstly hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and wish you well for 2017
Secondly a month on and our tree has developed and moved out of the darkness and into the light at Christmas and is about 20mm tall!!!!
The tree in January
BB anniversary tree slowed a little and I am not sure that it is fully seasonally aware it has grown 1.5 cm since January so I have repotted in a bigger pot to try and encourage it to be guilt aware of spring !
After half term on Thursday 2nd of March we talked about the start and events of Lent and the Pancake mixing and making and decorating proved successful and was rewarded by the eating and games included a tossing the pancake competition.
The following Thursday still with pets and wildlife in mind we made bird feeders and used them to entice Birds into our gardens as we took part in the RSPB BIRD COUNT.
We continued the theme with a Lego hero's and People who do good things in the World with the colouring of a Lego Batman and Lego Anchor boy.
Art work from the boys

Hi Boys / Mums Dads Carers included.
We started this session with our Bonfire night cake decorating with a fireworks and bonfire theme together with a fire safety talk.
On the 10th of November we held our Display and Presentation of awards and we where pleased and proud with the certificates and awards and also the presentation of the special 125th Anniversary and Queens 90th Birthday Badges given to us by our Liverpool Battalion in our own companies 80th year.
Our Brigade led the Woolton Churches on Remembrance Sunday as we remembered those lives lost in conflicts and many onlookers and the Royal British Legion where delighted by the procession and march past.
We continued to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the Boys Brigade in LIVERPOOL following its launch at the beginning of October and on our welly walk , collecting our autumn leaves and also a visit from our Brigade Chaplain Nicola Langton-Miller on the 17th of November we started to colour in our 125 leaves and planted our 26th Liverpool BB ANNIVERSARY TREE from a locally found Woolton Chestnut and it has taken well and has put down roots and will be starting to sprout into a small tree very soon.
Our music night showed us some hidden talent as we tried out electric guitars, a drum kit ,acoustic guitars and a keyboard with Joseph playing the keyboard with our only recognisable tune so well done to all but especially Joseph.
Last week we entered into the Spirit of Christmas in our Church as we followed the Journey of Mary Joseph and the Wonky Donkey and had great fun listening to the stories writing our prayers , making a crown and colouring in our Christmas Cards with the Journeys Theme.
